The greatest impact the trip has had on me, is how different our lives can be in such a short distance.

One day I stay at a hotel with a nice bed and hot water. A few hours’ drive later; I didn`t have any of the daily things I take for granted. And even though the people in the village are poor, they are grateful for the things they have, and they seem to be truly happy – maybe even more happy than many people who live with me. Their attitude and gratitude influenced me – and I have learned because of that.
I am much more grateful for the life I have and the possibilities I have to choose my way of living.
I am truly grateful to be a part of the expedition because this experience showed me the heart of ASEA – it is not a matter of money; it is a matter of being human.
