Human Trafficking
In one of the most urgent and heartbreaking battles of our time, the ASEA Advancing Life Foundation® is standing firm against the global crisis of sex trafficking. The issue is deeply complex and is rooted in poverty, abuse and organized crime. It often feels overwhelming and impossible to fight. Yet, through the strategic partnerships and unwavering commitment, the Foundation is making a tangible impact across the globe.
The Foundation’s approach to funding this fight is multifaceted, addressing prevention, rescue, prosecution, and survivor aftercare. It has funded rescue missions that have led to the liberation of victims and the arrest of traffickers. It has also supported the development of two Internet Crimes Against Children Centers (ICAC), enhancing law enforcement’s ability to track and prosecute online exploitation.
To aid in evidence recovery, the Foundation has funded eight Electronic Storage Detection (ESD) K9s, specially trained dogs that assist police in locating hidden devices during search warrants. This has proven to be a critical toll in building cases against perpetrators.
Recognizing that poverty is a major driver of vulnerability, the Foundation is also investing in education and empowerment. In Bangladesh, where child marriage and exploitation are rampant, it has helped build dormitories for 96 young women, allowing them to attend college and break free from cycles of abuse. Educational programs in the Philippines, Thailand, and Ghana are teaching parents and children of the dangers that exist. In rural clinics in the United States medical professionals received training on the signs of trafficking and knowing what to do when they identify a victim.
The Foundation’s reach spans from the United States into Asia, Africa, and South America. Through these efforts, the ASEA Advancing Life Foundation® is not only rescuing lives but restoring hope and proving that even in the face of darkness, meaningful change is possible.

Speciality Trained Police Dogs
The ASEA Advancing Life Foundation has begun sponsoring electronic storage detection (ESD) training for new police dogs. Once trained, these dogs are able to quickly locate small storage devices that are difficult to locate by sight and which are used to hold illicit photos and crucial evidence for convicting child traffickers.
