Teaming up with WHOlives, The ASEA Advancing Life Foundation has joined the fight to bring access to clean water in Kehancha, Kenya, and to empower survivors and end female genital mutilation. Read about the details here and learn how you can support our efforts to break the cycles of poverty, abuse, and suffering.
The 1st Village Vitalization project at Goceso Rescue Center
We are thrilled to announce several significant improvements to the local Goceso Rescue Center that enhance both comfort and sustainability. The kitchen has been upgraded, creating a more functional and welcoming space for everyone. Additionally, the newly completed perimeter privacy fence ensures a secure and serene environment for survivors. We’ve also constructed garden towers, promising to bring fresh, homegrown produce closer and foster a sense of togetherness through shared gardening efforts.
One of our most exciting developments is the successful use of the new Hybrid Village Drill to penetrate 18 meters of rock and establish a well. The team is eagerly awaiting the water test results this week, and if all goes well, we will develop the well soon after, providing a vital resource for the local community.
The chicken project continues to progress with the purchase of an incubator and the construction of a new chicken coop. We are currently awaiting the county to bring power to the site, after which we will acquire the birds and feed, marking another step towards our goal of sustainable living.
Combatting female genital mutilation and building the community
The Inua Global to Village Foundation operates three schools, a sewing center, and a farm located about an hour north of Kisumu, Kenya. This initiative has had a profound impact on nearly 1,000 people from the surrounding area, fostering education, skill development, and sustainable living.
One of the key aspects of the project was drilling boreholes at two of the schools, ensuring access to clean water for students and staff. Additionally, significant investments were made in the sewing center, empowering local women with the skills and tools needed to earn a living and support their families. The farming project also received substantial support, enhancing food security and providing agricultural training to the community.
The foundation further bolstered local livelihoods by creating a chicken business and delivering 200 garden towers with seedlings to local households. These efforts not only provide immediate sustenance but also create sustainable sources of income for the residents. The combination of education, skill development, and sustainable agriculture has transformed lives and offered new opportunities for growth and prosperity in the region.
