I have thought a lot about the people in La Concepcion since the expedition. I have never lived in the poverty that we saw there.
The people in La Concepcion touched my heart. The small amount of help we provided was greatly appreciated by them and made such a massive improvement in their lives. Every day they will use the stoves and water cisterns that we built.
A small amount of physical labor has made clean water and easier food preparation available to them. That work improved the sanitation of homes and bringing their cooking up off the ground. I am forever grateful for the experience and will happily volunteer for future projects.
