Every survivor’s journey begins with a single step toward hope.
Through the ASEA Advancing Life Foundation’s partnership with The Exodus Road, survivors of human trafficking in Thailand are finding safety, healing, and the support they need to build independent futures. Together, we’re helping transform lives by providing trauma-informed care, education, vocational training, and long-term aftercare designed to break cycles of exploitation for good.
From Survival to Hope
When Anita* arrived at Freedom Home, she was struggling with severe depression, social anxiety, and uncertainty about her future. Through personalized care, therapy, and a supportive community, she began developing healthy coping skills and renewed confidence.
Today, Anita is pursuing vocational training in flower bouquet arrangement and dreams of one day opening her own flower shop. Her story is a powerful reminder that with the right support, healing is possible and new opportunities can flourish.

Lives Impacted
From January through April 2026, ASEA Advancing Life Foundation support helped The Exodus Road provide care for 43 women in active recovery programs while continuing follow-up support for 58 graduates.
This partnership also helped make possible:
– 166 therapy sessions
– Health services for 38 survivors
– Legal advocacy for 24 women
– Life skills training for 47 participants
– Vocational training for 12 survivors
– Educational support for 14 women
One exciting milestone came in February, when 14 survivors graduated from a trauma-informed entrepreneurship program. Several participants are already applying their skills through a small coffee-cart business, gaining practical experience and building confidence for the future.

Building Lasting Change
Freedom is about more than rescue—it is about creating pathways to long-term independence. Through counseling, education, employment preparation, and ongoing support, survivors are developing the tools they need to thrive.
Thanks to this holistic approach, The Exodus Road reports a 94% recidivism prevention rate in Thailand, demonstrating the power of sustained aftercare and community support.
