ASEA & Advancing Life Pledge to ‘Do Something’ This Holiday Season

Now is the time of year when our thoughts—and social media posts—turn to what we’re thankful for most. This act of recognizing our blessings serves to increase our gratitude. One of the ways we do that at ASEA is by giving, and the volunteers at the Advancing Life Foundation have made that a focus throughout 2019.

This year we asked ourselves regarding the opportunity to serve, “If not us, then who? If not now, then when?” and we decided to follow through. Worldwide, we hosted service expeditions to Ecuador, funded freshwater wells in Cambodia, donated to life-saving missions by O.U.R. in Thailand and Nepal, and even contributed funds across the United States through the training of police dogs in order to aid in the fight against child sex trafficking.

Locally, we were able to build beds for kids in need, help out at a local food bank, sort donated clothing at a local shelter, and hold a blood drive at ASEA corporate headquarters. These events are only a small portion of the work we have in front of us, but we are up for the challenge.

We recognize the great opportunity we have to make an impact and change the world. This holiday season, we are dedicated to finding new ways to help our neighbors, our local community, and the world at large. We are grateful for the opportunity we have to serve, and we’ve learned from our experiences that doing something is the only way to be truly grateful.

May you also look for opportunities to bring joy to someone else this holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving!
