Donations for Disaster Relief in Louisiana and California

In the aftermath of Hurricane Laura, a Category 4 storm that made landfall in Louisiana on 27 August, many thousands have been severely affected. The impact was so deadly and damaging that it now ranks as the strongest hurricane on record to hit Louisiana. At the same time, people in California have been experiencing the second- and third-largest blazes ever recorded in their state: The LNU Lightning Complex fires have burned hundreds of thousands of acres and strained firefighting resources. The fires have killed seven people, destroyed more than 2,100 buildings, and made air extremely unhealthy across the area.

In these difficult times, the ASEA Advancing Life Foundation has teamed up with local chapters of the Salvation Army to donate $10,000 to victims of Hurricane Laura and another $10,000 to victims of the California wildfires. The Salvation Army is providing food, water, clean-up kits, and hygiene supplies to those affected and they are also working to restore social-service programs for aftercare and implement long-term recovery for the area.
